School Message
We hope our families enjoy the extended weekend; a reminder that Monday is a holiday.
Our graduation ceremony and banquet is next Thursday, so please note that there will not be classes that day for our grade 10 and 11 students, but there is school on the Friday. With graduation gowns going home earlier this week, we look forward to seeing some of the pictures our students will take in/around Calgary over the next few days, and encourage them to enjoy the lead-up (responsibly) to this particular rite of passage.
Finally, and somewhat connected, I’d like to draw attention to this news story, and ask our grade 12’s to be mindful if they’re participating.

Youth Employment Resource
Is your student looking for employment this summer? The Youth Employment Centre can help with resumes, cover letters and provide interview tips – for free!
A representative from the Youth Employment Centre will be onsite in the school foyer this Tuesday, 20 May from 11:50 to 12:30. Check them out and see how they can help you get employed!
Photo ID – June Exams
Students writing 30-level exams in June who do not have photo ID are asked to visit the Main Office to pick up their school ID before the end of May. Having photo identification is required on exam days, and picking it up in advance will help prevent delays and ensure a smooth check-in process.
Honour Society:
CBE # lists have been posted between the main office and student services. The calculations are based on grade level core classes from the January and April report cards. Students can look for their student number and email Ms. Rivers (serivers@cbe.ab.ca) if there are any questions, concerns, or oversights.
The optional Honour Society celebration will take place on Monday, May 26th from 7-8 pm in the main gym. Families are welcome. Students who cannot attend can pick up their certificates AFTER the celebration in the main foyer at lunchtime.
If students wish to attend: Please fill out the quick RSVP form (no form required for students who cannot attend but still wish to pick up their certificate after). Grade 12’s will fill out the 2nd half of the form in addition to the RSVP. https://forms.gle/xnPiCkAkTvX1BdXp8
Grade 12 – Optional Lifetime Honour Society Medallions: $20 for students who qualified in Grades 10, 11, and 12. These can be purchased through the Business Office before May 26th if you wish to receive it at the event (but can also be purchased after the event). *Lifetime Honour Society is not the same as the Western Canada College Honour Society – inductees for that award are chosen by committee and awarded at the Academic Awards evening.
