Weekly Update Header

School Message

Hello to our Western families,

A quick reminder that
Tomorrow is a non-instructional day and there are no classes.  We look forward to having students back with us on Monday.

I’d like to thank our students for how they’ve been handling things this week without our custodial staff in the building.  We have appreciated the extra efforts to help keep the cafeteria, classrooms, and halls fairly tidy.  We recognize that the restricted hours have also had a detrimental impact on test rewrite opportunities and club activities.  While we obviously don’t know how long this labour action will continue, we continue to ask for the understanding that we’ve already seen as the process plays itself out.

Finally, student conferences will be taking place in three weeks, on March 20 and 21. Please look for an announcement over the next ten days or so with the details to sign up with your child’s various teachers.

Thank you,
Darrin Whitbread | Principal, Western Canada High School
