Weekly Update Header

School Message

Hello to our Western families,

We appreciate the patience of those who have been asking, and apologize for the delay, but we’re now pleased to be sending out the exam schedule for June. Please take note of when each of your child’s final assessments will be taking place. If there might be an issue, please reach out to their teacher(s) and assistant principal to see if other arrangements can be made. While there occasionally can be some flexibility with grade 10 and 11 exams, a reminder that grade 12 diploma exams are set up by Alberta Education and have very strict parameters around
them.

With approximately 8 weeks left in this semester, we would encourage you to log into PowerSchool regularly going forward to check on your child’s progress. Please reach out to teachers first if there are any concerns, with the opportunity always to follow up with the counselor and/or assistant principal. Our collective goal should be to help students finish in a manner where they are proud of their achievements for the semester and the year, setting them up for ongoing success with us or wherever they might be.

Wishing everybody the best for the upcoming long weekend.

Thank you,

Darrin Whitbread, Principal | Western Canada High School
