Monica P. was recently awarded the Horatio Alger Canadian Scholar Scholarship, honoured as one of 160 students nationwide chosen for this distinctive award. Furthermore, Monica was one of 30 scholars nationwide invited to attend the Horatio Alger Canadian Scholar Conference, held in Toronto this past October. 

 

The Horatio Alger Association of Canada is a charitable organization dedicated to the simple but powerful belief that hard work, honesty and determination can conquer all obstacles. Monica was awarded the scholarship based on her demonstration of integrity, perseverance in overcoming adversity, commitment to pursue post-secondary education, desire to contribute to society, and outstanding academic record.
